Travel and Lodging

Lodging Information – Niagara Falls (Canada Side)

For guest convenience, we recommend staying on the Canadian side of Niagara Falls, close to dining, evening attractions, scenic viewpoints, and evening fireworks. Staying nearby allows guests to fully enjoy the Falls at night without long drives.

Event context for lodging planning:
Our wedding events take place on Saturday, June 27, 2026, in the early evening. Selecting nearby accommodations makes it easy to enjoy dinner, nighttime Falls views, and fireworks afterward.

Travel Tips

We want your trip to Niagara Falls to be smooth and enjoyable. Here are a few helpful tips to make planning and traveling easier.

Pack for Changing Weather

Niagara Falls can be unpredictable — sunny, misty, and breezy all in the same day.

Bring layers, comfortable shoes, and something you don’t mind getting a little wet if you plan to enjoy the Falls up close.

Phone Service

If crossing into Canada, check your cell plan. Some carriers charge international fees.

Be Prepared for Mist

Some attractions on both sides of the Falls can get a little misty — pack light rain gear if you’d prefer to stay dry.

Everything Is Walkable

Many hotels, restaurants, and attractions are within walking distance of the Falls, making it easy to explore without a car.

Border Crossing Reminders

If you plan to explore both the U.S. and Canadian sides of Niagara Falls, here are a few things to keep in mind:

Passport Required for Crossing Into Canada

A valid passport (or passport card) is required for U.S. citizens crossing the border.

Border Wait Times Can Vary. Weekends and evenings may have longer lines. Give yourself extra time if you have plans across the border.

On Foot or By Car. You can cross the Rainbow Bridge on foot or by car. Walking across offers a beautiful view of the Falls.

Exchange Rates

If you plan to spend time in Canada, consider having a small amount of Canadian currency or using a no-fee credit card.

Keep IDs Handy

Both U.S. and Canadian border agents may ask for ID and travel details — keep passports easily accessible.
