Butterfly Release Tribute
In Loving Memory & In Celebration of New Beginnings
Our butterfly release is a tribute to the men who shaped our lives with love, strength, and wisdom: Ray’s father, Mr. Ray Taylor Jr.; LaWanda’s father, Oland Blair; her bonus dad, Norman Gibson; and her brother, Greg Blair. Though they are not here with us in the physical sense, their presence is woven into every step we take today.”
Butterflies are a symbol of transformation, hope, and spiritual renewal. Their release represents the belief that love does not end — it changes form, it continues, and it stays with us. As these butterflies take flight, we honor the lives and legacies of the men who raised us, guided us, and loved us long before this moment. Their memories continue to uplift us, steady us, and remind us of the power of family.
The butterfly release is also a symbol of new beginnings — a gentle reminder that God can take us through seasons of loss, growth, and change, and still bring us back to love. Today, as we blend our lives and families, we carry the lessons, stories, and blessings that each of these men left behind. Their spirits remain part of our foundation, our joy, and our future.
As the butterflies rise, we release them with gratitude for where we’ve been, reverence for those we miss, and hope for the beautiful life and legacy we begin together.
